Joyce DiCamillo Trio Benefit Concert

The Joyce DiCamillo Trio (Joyce DiCamillo, piano, Yoshi Waki, bass, Todd Strait, drums) presents “Give Your Heart To PROJECT MUSIC,” a benefit concert to raise funding for PROJECT MUSIC.


Pianist Joyce DiCamillo has led her jazz trio for over thirty-five years. Joyce has performed with such jazz legends as James Moody, Phil Woods, Houston Person, and countless others. Her trio has released 5 trio CDs receiving international airplay – A Touch of Jazz, Freelancin’ (featuring and produced by tenor saxophone icon Houston Person), Moment to Moment, Love Letters, and
Sunrise Lady. Joyce is included on the prestigious International Roster of Steinway Artists and has performed twice at the Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Festival at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, hosted by the late Dr. Billy Taylor. Her trio has headlined at Southport (UK) Jazz Festival, Guinness Jazz Festival (Cork, Ireland), Andria (Italy) Jazz Festival, Syracuse Jazzfest, The Jazz Cruise, Litchfield Jazz Festival, and Kennedy Center Jazz Club, to name a few. She has appeared on National Public Radio’s Piano Jazz hosted by Marian McPartland and toured as pianist for internationally known pop vocalist Donna Summer. Drummer Todd Strait, based in Kansas City MO, is highly respected in the international jazz community. His star rose as a young drummer with Marian McPartland and Woody Herman, and he continued touring worldwide with Kevin Mahogany, Karrin Allyson, Eldar Djangirov, and countless more. Yoshi Waki, originally from Japan, is a virtuoso bassist who has performed worldwide with George Garzone, Deborah Harry, Randy Johnstone, Frank Wess, Lenny White, Al Foster, and many others.
