The Curtis Collazo Project Music Scholarship Fund: Empowering The Next Generation Of Musicians

Curtis Collazo was more than just a talented musician. He was a selfless and compassionate individual who used his love for music to inspire and uplift others. In honor of his memory, we are proud to launch the Curtis Collazo Project Music Scholarship Fund, which aims to empower the next generation of musicians in Stamford, Connecticut.

Curtis' musical journey began at the young age of six when he started banging on his brother's drums. Over the years, he honed his skills as a percussionist, pianist, and guitarist, becoming a natural talent with incredible musical timing and an innate feel for all types of music. He played in several bands, toured the country, and recorded his own music. He was also a gifted music teacher who inspired young aspiring musicians in Boulder, CO.

But Curtis was more than just a musician. He was a gentle and kind soul who cared deeply for his family and friends. He had an incredible ability to spread love and positivity wherever he went. Despite struggling with mental illness at times, Curtis was determined to use his own experiences to help others. His goal was to empower those who are suffering, and he pursued his advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology to make a difference in the world.

The Curtis Collazo Project Music Scholarship Fund is a tribute to Curtis' legacy. The fund will provide Stamford's youth with access to a highly engaging, rigorous after-school music program, which includes free instruments, music instruction, mentorship, and opportunities to perform. Through this program, young musicians will develop fundamental life skills and be inspired to pursue their dreams, just like Curtis did.

Join us in honoring Curtis' memory by making a donation to the Curtis Collazo Project Music Scholarship Fund. Together, we can empower the next generation of musicians and keep Curtis' legacy alive. As the Irish proverb says, "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal." Let's spread Curtis' love through music and make a difference in the lives of Stamford's youth.
