Dr. Falcón was active teaching in El Sistema’s innovative musical program in jails, an experience that gave him the vision that music can be taught even in the most challenging places. In 2017, he participated in a masterclass with the famous oboist Alex Klein at the IDRS Conference, and since then he has participated in masterclasses at the Chicago Double Reed Festival.

As an oboist, Dr. Falcón has performed with Citadel Dance & Music Center of St. Joseph City, Michigan, South Carolina Philharmonic, The Long Bay Symphony, Union Symphony Orchestra (USO), The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, and Aiken Orchestra.

Dr. Falcón earned a master’s degree in music performance with Jennet Ingle at Andrews University. In 2022, he worked as faculty of the Kim Noltemy Young Musician Program of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. That same year, he developed and designed a glove for Alex Klein that helped him manage his focal dystonia.

Dr. Falcón recently completed his DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) in Oboe Performance at the University of South Carolina under the guidance of Hassan Anderson and Rebecca Nagel. He is a member of the International Double Reed Society.
