Celebrating Project Music Students at New England Music Camp

Jeffrey R. on Trumpet - Prelude Intensive

Project Music is thrilled to announce that three of our talented students are attending the prestigious New England Music Camp (NEMC) this summer, thanks to the generous support from our sponsors, an ongoing partnership with NEMC, and the unwavering support of their parents. This opportunity allows our students to hone their musical skills and grow personally and socially in a nurturing environment in Maine!

“We are delighted to send three of our exceptional students to New England Music Camp (NEMC) in Maine this summer. As we enter the third year of our enriching partnership with NEMC, we continue to see the profound impact it has on the development of our student leaders. This year, Marcos C. on trombone, Jeffrey R. on trumpet, and Diego B. on saxophone for the Jazz Intensive will each spend up to four weeks immersed in this transformative sleep-away music camp. We look forward to witnessing their growth and achievements.”

Marcos C. on Trombone - NEMC Core Camp

Marcos is attending the traditional Core session at NEMC, a comprehensive 4-week program designed for intermediate and advanced students aged 11-18. This session emphasizes instrumental and vocal proficiency through private lessons, chamber music opportunities, musical theatre, and weekly solo and ensemble performances. Marcos, with his dedication to the trombone, is set to thrive in this immersive musical experience.

Jeffrey R. on Trumpet - Prelude Intensive

Jeffrey is participating in the Prelude Intensive, a 2-week program tailored for younger musicians aged 9-13. This session provides a supportive environment for developing musicianship skills and ensemble experience through participation in various musical groups, including string orchestra, wind ensemble, jazz band, and symphonic orchestra. Jeffrey’s enthusiasm and talent on the trumpet make him an ideal fit for this intensive program, where he will undoubtedly further his musical journey.

Diego B. on Saxophone - Jazz Intensive

Diego is attending the Jazz Intensive, a dynamic 2-week session designed for high school jazz students. This program focuses on improvisation, arranging, individual technique, and ensemble cohesion, with performances in both traditional big band and smaller jazz combo ensembles.
