Gabrielle Molina to Present at El Sistema USA National Conference

We're proud to announce that Gabrielle Molina, Project Music's Executive Director, will be sharing her expertise at the upcoming El Sistema USA national conference at Butler University in Indianapolis in early June. Gabrielle, who is also the Lead Program Consultant for El Sistema USA, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our organization and the broader music education community.

In her presentation, "Exploring and Designing Program Models," Gabrielle will draw on her extensive experience to discuss how we can create more equitable and accessible music education programs through program design. She will use Project Music as a case study, highlighting the successes and learning opportunities we've encountered as an El Sistema-inspired program. This is a testament to how much we've grown in the last 9 years as an organization!

The conference aims to bring together music educators, El Sistema practitioners, and community stakeholders to exchange ideas and practices that can help continuing growing and innovating the field of equity within music education. It's a fantastic opportunity for those already working in El Sistema-inspired programs and those adjacent to gain new perspectives and for us to learn from the collective wisdom of the field.

We are grateful for Gabrielle's leadership, which not only advances our mission at Project Music but also contributes to the national conversation in music education, specifically through the lens of equity. Her willingness to share Project Music’s story and lessons learned is a reflection of our commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.

Stay tuned for updates from the conference. We are eager to bring back new ideas and continue our work in making music education accessible to all children, regardless of circumstance.
