Music Meets Technology: Students assemble 3D Printed Violins in GE's Co-Create Space with Orchestra Lumos

Last Thursday, February 22nd, marked an extraordinary day for our students as they embarked on a remarkable journey into the realm of 3D violin craftsmanship. Partnering with Orchestra Lumos, our students had the privilege of immersing themselves in the innovative environment of GE's Co-Create space in Stamford. Under the expert guidance of Orchestra Lumos’s Education Director Anthony Parce and Artistry Toolbox Luthier Pri Chavez Lara, our students delved into the intricate process of assembling 3D violins, exploring the intersection of artistry and technology in a hands-on and transformative experience.

We are immensely grateful to Orchestra Lumos for their collaboration and support in making this venture possible. Their partnership has not only provided our students with an unparalleled learning opportunity ignited a passion for technology and innovation within music.

As we reflect on the success of this partnership, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming fundraiser event benefiting Project Music scheduled for May 1st. Please save the date, event details including guest performers from the Project Music Collective (PMC) and Orchestra Lumos to be announced in the coming weeks!
