Project Music's Crescendo: Ailyn Martinez Achieves King School Scholarship

The achievements of our students always fill us with pride. Aylin Martinez, a dedicated flutist who has been a part of our program for over five years, received the exciting news of her admission to the prestigious King School for the upcoming school year 2024-2025.

Aylin is a deserving recipient of the "Learn & Earn,” the workforce development program at Project Music that requires consistent attendance, leadership potential, teacher recommendation, as well as academic achievement. Through this scholarship at Project Music, Ailyn contributes to the development of younger students while working closely with Ms. Carmen Delgado, our flute instructor. We couldn't be prouder of Aylin's accomplishments and look forward to seeing her flourish in her new endeavors at King School. Additionally, Aylin is a member of the Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras, further showcasing her commitment and passion for music. Outside of her flute studies, Ailyn has won many awards in karate.

Lastly, Ailyn expressed her gratitude towards our Artistic Director, Garrett Mendez, who is also  the Director of Performing Arts at the King School, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Garrett, for guiding me through this process. None of this would have been possible without you."

Ailyn is the second Project Music student to be admitted to and be granted a significant scholarship to the King School. We are appreciative of our ongoing partnership with such an esteemed institution and look forward to continuing this educational pathway for our Project Music students.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ailyn for this remarkable achievement!
