Project Music leadership participated in LA Phil’s YOLA National Accelerator

Pedro and Gabrielle with Kim Noltemy, President & Chief Executive Officer, David C. Bohnett Presidential Chair, LA Phil

We’re thrilled to share that Project Music recently participated in the YOLA National Accelerator program, an invitation-only initiative hosted by the LA Phil from November 7-10. This all-expenses-paid experience brought together leaders from a select group of transformative music programs, including our own Executive Director, Gabrielle Molina, and Program Director, Pedro Falcón, for an immersive gathering dedicated to advancing youth music education.

Unlike traditional conferences, the YOLA National Accelerator is a new, goal-oriented initiative prioritizing sustainability, deep impact, and strategic development within music education. Over the past year, the YOLA team has been amplifying voices and successes within Creative Youth Development, challenging long-standing practices, and fostering sustainable change that benefits young people across the nation.

For Project Music, this experience underscored our commitment to developing future changemakers through music. Gabrielle and Pedro returned with fresh insights and resources that will further strengthen our mission. We’re grateful for this unique opportunity to connect with the LA Phil and other leaders, and we look forward to sharing how these new perspectives will enhance our work with Project Music’s students, staff, and community.

Stay tuned for more on how these insights will shape our programs and impact!
